The Flowers of Kingwood design center is open to the public for in-store shopping. We have a large walk-in cooler in the customer showroom. We locally source flowers and floral products when possible. When local sourcing isn't possible, we purchase directly from flower farms, or regional wholesalers. Our staff buys from both domestic and international growers. Buying our Valentine's floral inventory directly from the farms creates many advantages for us and our customers. Buying direct allows us to reduce the time between when the flowers are cut at the farm and when they arrive in our floral design centers for use in creating Valentine's designs. Fresher flowers translates directly into longer vase life. Our customers have access to the finest and freshest flowers in town. Buying direct also creates another advantage. That being, we can reduce our cost to acquire the flowers. We make every effort to share much of that cost savings with our customers. 

The award winning design staff at Flowers of Kingwood creates stunning Valentine's Day themed bouquets. We utilize long stem roses in many of the Valentine's Day bouquets that we create. Valentine’s Day is one of the most romantic days of the year. It is a day when we celebrate love with our friends and family. The history of Valentine’s Day goes back to the Roman era when young men would give their sweethearts roses on February 14th, which was known as “Feast of Lupercalia.” The Romans used to believe that if you gave your sweetheart a red rose, it would bring good luck. In England, St. Valentine’s Day was celebrated around the same time as well, but it wasn't until much later that people started celebrating it in America. In fact, Valentine's Day wasn't even recognized as an official holiday until the early 1900s. It's easy to see how this holiday has grown from a small celebration into one of the biggest celebrations in February!
